Since 2005, Piknik nad Odrą has taken place as an open-air event and has become one of Szczecin’s most recognizable festivals. Every year, on the second weekend of May, the Wały Chrobrego promenade transforms into a vibrant space filled with music, flavors, and good energy. It’s a festival of travel and leisure that attracts tens of thousands of visitors—locals and tourists alike—for a weekend full of inspiration and great experiences.

Event Highlights 2025
This year’s Piknik nad Odrą offered two days full of great fun and unique attractions for the whole family.
As part of the Great Cooking Show, visitors could taste Łódź-style zalewajka soup and Sri Lankan chicken biriyani, prepared together with this year’s partner region and partner country.
Event Highlights 2024
Travel Fairs, th Great Cooking Show, a then a testing of Tunisian couscous and horseradish-beetroot borscht. In 2024, we also introduced a completely new zone: Discover Pomerania.
Event Highlights 2023
During Piknik nad Odrą 2023, a festival full of attractions for both young and adult guests, the Great Cooking Show took place, during which the Lubusz Voivodeship prepared and served portions of Lubusz-style bigos.

Today the Piknik nad Odra is one of the largest open-air events in Szczecin, held in the city’s most iconic location — the Chrobry Embankments. Its history dates back to 1992, when the first edition of the Market Tour Tourism Fair took place in Międzyzdroje.
